Mike Murphy races his horses all around the South and Midlands, being based in close to Milton Keynes, close to the M1.
In a previous life Mike was a leading City Analyst and he set up Mike Murphy Racing in 2007 following a number of years of ownership and having ridden as an Amateur.
Mike retired from city work to concentrate on developing the racing stables. From inception the strategy has been to develop excellent facilities and experienced staff and the yard can boast both. Mikes wife, Denise, is also heavily involved in the yard.
Mike has had plenty of success with young horses in the past.
Stables
Mike is based in what used to be a top-flight stud, based in the heart of Bedfordshire. The horses have excellent facilities, including two walkers, isolation boxes and warm-up tracks. However the quality of his gallops is unsurpassed. His horses can enjoy both artificial and grass gallops on wonderful rolling countryside. The yard is well worth a visit.
Stable Visits
Two stable visits organised per year. They tend to be in Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September to November). Ad-hoc drop-in days may also be run during the summer months.
