Following a very likeable placed effort at 22/1, Indefensible went to Southwell on September 3rd and under a power-packed ride from Harry Russell, lifted a class 5 event by a nostril!
The gelding had been last of the nine runners into the straight, but came with a withering run to snatch victory on the line.
From seven runs this season, Indefensible as won TWICE, been second on two occasions, third three times, and fourth in another. His only run out of the frame was a fifth of nine runners when he came back stiff. However, he now has a duo of wins against his name!
Trainer Ollie Pears was delighted with the result, and believed the gelding deserved to get his head in front once more. He stated, 'He's really grown up in the last few runs. He now knows how to win now, and I don't think he's done with winning just yet either!'
Indefensible isn't finished for the season either! Ollie Pears expects to build on this win and we're expecting the 3YO to back out in a handicap very soon.
