Three-year-old Gilbert wins back-to-back handicaps
GILBERT, a 3YO gelding trained by the in-form Adam West, based in Epsom, has now won twice in his last two runs. This improving young gelding stayed on well to win a little cosily at Chepstow.
Following his debut win at Brighton two weeks ago, Gilbert went to Chepstow on Good to Soft ground and was treated to a great ride by apprentice jockey, Sean Kirrane. Gilbert was allowed to take his time, but soon got on terms with his rivals and pulled away for a nice win at odds of 11/4. This Cityscape gelding faced 9 rivals over a mile on the grass and gave his shareholders a great day out.
Adam West is aiming to find the gelding another opening in about 2-3 weeks, hopefully on similar ground (Good to Soft or softer). Small shares in the youngster are SOLD OUT for 2022 however, a few 1% shares still remain.
