James Sullivan guides Celestial Flight to victory at York

The 2YO steps up to win the Rous Stakes on his second outing

Celestial Flight lifts the £25k Rous stakes

On only his second run of his career, Celestial Flight delighted his shareholders by winning the Rous Stakes at York. The 2YO broke well and was always in the front rank - but it was the way he stuck his head down and kept several challengers at bay that was most pleasing. By upcoming sire Harry Angel, 'Halo' ground out a memorable victory in a valuable race for 2YO's.

Trainer Ollie Pears was understandably delighted with the result, as were the 100+ Ownaracehorse shareholders whgo enjoyed a double box at the top of the Ebor stand with fantastic views over the course and the rest of York for the day.
