Adam West trains Big Bear Hug to win at Leicester
The 4YO filly Big Bear Hug had a difficult time as a 2YO, and hit the crossbar a number of times as a 3YO, but it looks like 2023 is going to pay back for her shareholdes, as she has already finished runner-up and debut and has now WON. At a sunny Leicester evening meeting last Saturday Ownaracehorse shareholders endured a long wait until the last race, but it was worth it - the filly stretched away to land a handicap in good style.
The filly was provided with a great ride from Trevor Whelan to easily land a 0-65 handicap for her shareholders on rain-softened ground over a mile. Trainer Adam West has her declared for Chepstow on Tuesday 15th, but she may wait for an alternative race in a fortnight's time.
