Panama At Once and Star Of Raven do us proud
....................................................................................

Trainer Joss Saville
There are days in racehorse ownership where you despair,
there are days when the disappointment is hard to bear. But there
are also those days where the dream suddenly bursts into reality and all
your hopes and aspirations for the horse you own are fulfilled.
Today was such a day for shareholders in Panama At Once, who put in a
phenomenal round of jumping to win by a staggering twenty-eight lengths
in his first ever race over Chase fences.
Trainer Joss Saville has had a tough jumps season to date, with the yard
being infected with two separate virus's in the middle of the busiest
time of the year. But he has stuck to his task and been patience
with our horses, and that hard work paid off in spades today at we
celebrated a superb win in the first chase race of the day, and then a
heart-stopping second in the feature race of the day when Star Of Raven
failed only by a head to hang on in the two and a half mile chase race.
The victory for Panama At Once was proof that Joss is a very capable
trainer, and he rewarded shareholder's patience with a win at 25/1, with
33/1 freely available on-course and 43/1 on the tote.
However, it was the manner in which Panama At once won which was so
pleasing. Having run on very heavy ground for much of the season
he was provided with a better surface and fences he patently loves, and
made short work of his rivals, winning with his head in his chest.
Star Of Raven almost repeated the dose, but showed that Joss has his
string in excellent shape now and they are ready to go on from this.
Many congratulations to Joss, his staff and family, who have provided so
much support to the yard and our horses - and thanks also to all the
shareholders with shares in these horses whose patience and
understanding at some of the bleaker times during the season have
provided such staunch support to the yard and the horses.
Great stuff!
Richard, Ownaracehorse Jumping Syndicate Manager.
