The New Lifestyle Statement - A Share In A
Racehorse.
Dewsbury, United Kingdom - April 18th 2007 - With the wage
packets of the nation seemingly on an upward spiral and the
current boom in lifestyle products and media, a leading
racehorse syndication company today reported a large
increase the number of gifts apparently being purchased as a
'lifestyle' statement.
Richard Laws, Commercial Director of Ownaracehorse Ltd
commented today: "We have seen a huge increase in the number
of people in their twenties coming in for shares in our
racehorses in the last six months. Many of these people are
having shares bought for them as gifts, but increasingly we
are seeing a younger customer coming into the sport and
seeking thrills on the racecourse as owners."
He continued "On the whole they are young professionals who
are either looking for a unique gift for a partner or
friend, but also enthusiasts of the sport who are fed up
with just having a bet at the weekend and want to become
more involved in the horses and the social side of the
sport."
On average these newcomers to racehorse ownership are
spending between £80 and £2,000 for a specific share in a
racehorse for the season in the form of a one-off payment.
This generally includes visits to the trainers yard, free
owners badges when their horse runs, access to the latest
information regarding their racehorse and, of course, a
share of any race winnings.
With up to five race meetings a day and prizemoney between
£1,500 and £1,000,000 in potential winnings for a single
race, having a share in a racehorse can provide some great
days at the races, as well as recouping a bit of your
initial outlay if you choose the right one.
"The prizemoney is nice if your horse does well, but most
shareholders are more interested in the horses themselves -
the winnings are a bonus. Our younger shareholders are
particularly information hungry, and the fact we can provide
regular updates via email, internet, SMS and telephone
really appeals to this group. In fact, we are set to launch
a new service in May which will allow shareholders to access
all our services on their mobile via the internet, a
development driven specifically by a generation of
Blackberry and web enabled mobile phone users." added Mr
Laws.
For this technology savvy age group it seems that gadgets
are important, but that the thrill of being involved in a
real live thoroughbred also has its draw.
Ownaracehorse Ltd.

people from all over the world. Their website,
ownaracehorse.co.uk provides shareholders with the ability to

well as visiting the horse at its yard, going racing as an owner
and taking a share in any prizemoney. The company has a wide
range of racehorse shares available, either as gifts, or for the
racing enthusiast, with an average one-off upfront price for the
season ranging from only £70 up to £20,000.
