Joss Saville to move his yard to North's biggest training centre
................................................................................
October 2008
Joss Saville announced today (3rd October 2008) that he
is to move his yard from its current position in Gisburn, Lanacashire,
to the Middleham training centre in the Yorkshire Dales.
Joss said: " I’m pleased to announce that within the next 10 days I will
be moving my training operation. We will be going thirty miles further
north to Middleham, North Yorkshire.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Gisburn, but now its time to move
to a superior yard, within a recognized training centre. The new yard
will allow me to concentrate fully on the horses without the
distractions of the Gisburn estate. Also, through the use of the
excellent training facilities at Middleham I am convinced that our
success will be assured.
At present we are busy finalizing the arrangements to conduct the move
to the new yard. Our new home will be at Lowbeck stables, an established
racing yard right beside the Forbidden Corner and only four-hundred
yards from the Middleham gallops. We will have 20 boxes, and Jo, James
and I will be taking a minimum of eleven horses with us to start the new
enterprise. I will continue to concentrate on Jumpers, but will also
have a few flat horses as well.
We are very excited about the new venture, which is a bold and positive
move for all concerned! I will keep you in touch with our progress, but
we hope to have our first runner from our new base in early December."
