James Evans moves to purpose built yard in Broadwas
................................................................................
April 2009
James Evans has shown he has plenty of ability when
training horses to win both on turf and over the jumps, and now the
canny Midland's based trainer has a set of facilities at his disposal
which would be the envy of many.
James has moved his 16 horses from Honeybourne, near Bidford, to a new
home in Broadwas, close to Worcester.
The facilities include a mile long woodchip all-weather gallop as well
as stabling for up to 30 horses in brand new stables. There is
also 50 acres of turnout and grass for schooling and other sorts of
exercise.
James said "We have had to limit our business at Honeybourne, due to the
size of the yard and restrictions on expansion, but from our new base we
can really make a big impression with more horses and far better
facilities"
"I'm looking forward to getting racing very soon, as the horses have
already settled into their new home and we have some new horses coming
through this year which should give us the boost we need from the new
situation." he added.
We wish James all the best for the new venture. Having visited the
yard, it is superbly positioned and will serve James well. He has
already sent out a few horses from the yard - and managed top four
placings with both, so it shouldn't be too long before he gets his first
winner from Broadwas.
