Suggest a name for our un-raced 3YO!
All you need to do is suggest a name for our 3YO gelding which is already in training and is due to start his career in January 2010.

Why not have a go?
We will choose the most original name and the lucky winner will be given a 1% share in this 3YO in training for next year's flat season (Worth over £320.00) - which means you will gain access to all our information about the horse, enjoy days at the races as well as a share in any winnings - just like every shareholder with Ownaracehorse.

The competition is open to all visitors to the ownaracehorse website and we will email all entrants with the result after the closing date.

Suggesting a name
Choose a name for our un-raced gelding by top sire Captain Rio. We will choose the one we feel is the most original and fits the horse looks (he only has one eye remember!) and breeding. He is beautifully bred, so we are looking for a name which reflects his exceptional Group winning mother and father.

Please ensure your suggestion is less than 18 characters long, is not the name of a current horse in training (check the Racing Post) and is likely to pass accreditation at the BHB (ie. no expletives etc...).

Competition Rules
1. Promoter: Ownaracehorse Ltd.
2. Winning Horse Name decision is made by Ownaracehorse Ltd and Joss Saville, trainer of the Gelding.
3. In the event of a tie, a tie breaker question will be sent by email.
4. Prize is a 1% share in the Unnamed Captain Rio gelding for the 2010 turf season (January 1st to November 1st 2010) and is subject to the winner agreeing with the Standard Ownaracehorse terms and conditions.
5. Result will be notified to all participants via email.
6. The promoter's decision is final.
7. Winning name is subject to approval with Weatherbys and the BHB.
8. One entry per email address. Multiple entries will be removed from the competition. Your email address will be added to our newsletter database and not passed to any other organisation.
9. We can only advise the winner at the email address supplied. We take no responsibility for incorrectly entered email addresses.
10. We will apply for the name once the winner is announced. However, we reserve the right to change the name if it is subsequently rejected by Weatherbys or the BHB. If this is the case the winner will still retain the winning prize.
