More for the serious bloodstock follower. Weatherbys are the 'management services' of racing.  They provide the bank from which all winnings are paid, and all ownership registration documents and records are kept here.  They also allocate colours and track all horses to ensure the sport is properly organised. At The Races 

The first media company to provide live video of racing on the web, the At The Races site provides race cards and some analysis of the days racing, but the primary feature is the ability to view 'live' coverage (about 15 seconds behind) of the days racing as shown on their Sky channel.  There is a charge for the service of £10 per month, but you can get a month free at the moment to try it out.  The channel covers about 50% of UK racing and all Irish racing.  they also have a great form and analysis section.

Racing Post 

The Racing Post is the sports daily newspaper and covers all racing in detail, providing form, analysis and features.  The racing Post site includes all the latest news and racing information including declarations an race reports. 

To gain access to most material you have to register and login using a username and password.  Some sections (such as the detailed form) require you to pay for the information.  However, you may access race records and detailed results for nothing.

Sporting Life

The Sporting Life used to be the competitor to the Racing Post, but eventually went out of print in the eighties.  Now the name lives on in the web site, which covers many different sports, but still maintains a strong horseracing element.  Particularly good for quick results and their free to air race radio.

The best all round link site for UK racing information.  They personally visit and reviewed all the sites that are listed.  With an independent description of each site, they tend to remove all the "everyone's a winner" hype stuff that many tipping sites peddle. If there is something they don't like about a site, they tend to be blunt about it. Links are divided into sub categories to speed your search.
 

Bestofthebets 

Nifty little site based around a friendly racing forum.  Plenty to see here with a well used forum which is run in a straightforward and diligent manner.  A must visit for forum fans.

Award winning website which contains all manner of information, tips and comment.  Independently run and all for free - a very decent racing community site, also including competitions and prizes.

A good all round site for news and views run by GGMedia, who own a number of racecourses.  Nevertheless, there are some good writers and general racing comment which makes it worth a visit now and again.

Pam provides a range of services to owners and shareholders who wish to capture their horse on canvas.  Her prices seem very reasonable, and definitely an option if you wish to look back at your ownership in a different light!
