Notable Runs:
20th December 2008 - Sarah's Art 2nd 8/1
Bumped into an improving horse today, but pulled nicely clear of the rest of
the runners to record another second placing - the win can't be far away with
this gelding!
19th
December 2008 - Councellor WON 7/1
A £12,000 added handicap, won in brilliant style by 'Charlie'. This
time he got a clean run from the last two furlongs and eased into the lead over
100 yards out and never looked like being caught.
10th
December 2008 - Councellor 3rd 4/1
A solid performance today, finishing third after having to go the circuitous
route around the outside of the track - there must surely be more to come from
this horse when things drop right for him.
7th
December 2008 - Siena Star 2nd 9/2
Siena Star does it again - only beaten a neck today into second, he really
is in great shape at the moment and surely his luck has to change.
7th
December 2008 - Sarah's Art 3rd 8/1
After hitting the front at the furlong pole it looked like this gelding was
going to get his first win, but he was outsprinted to the line in the last fifty
yards.
3rd December 2008 - Shakespeare's Son 3rd
7/1
After finding a lot of trouble in running 'Ollie' did well to find a way through
and finish in the frame after encountering traffic throughout this race.
24th November 2008 - Siena Star 3rd 7/1
A really gutsy performance from Siena Star, only going down by a short head and
a nose into third place.
12th November 2008 - Grand Palace
WON 2/1
A cracking run and brilliant finish, with Grand Palace
travelling supremely well throughout. Two of them pulled clear here, but
he wouldn't be beaten and got up by a short head to win this 6f handicap at
Wolverhampton.
4th November 2008 - Grand Palace 2nd 14/1
The winner all the way to the line, Grand Palace just got 'mugged' on the
line, but there is surely more to come from him very soon.
4th November 2008 -
Shakespeare's Son 3rd 9/2
'Ollie' made good progress off the pace, but was just not there quick enough
today, beaten only a length and a half.
23rd October 2008 - Siena Star
WON 12/1
What a real star! Coming off a three month enforced
break because of a bug in the yard, Siena Star wasn't expected to do too much at
a wind lashed, soft ground Brighton. How wrong we all were! He was
always in the first few and took up the running at the furlong pole, bravely
battling all the way to the line and prevailing by a short head. Fantastic
stuff!
22nd October 2008 -
Sarah's Art 2nd 14/1
Coming back from a two month break, Sarah's Art ran a
cracker at Kempton to finish second. He was baulked twice during this race
and also had his ground taken on the run for home, so it shouldn't be long
before he's back in the winners enclosure.
2nd October 2008 -
Shakespeare's Son 2nd 7/2
'Ollie' has just been so unlucky this season - this was his fifth second placing
this
season, this time coming late and fast from off the pace at Goodwood, and only
failing to win by a short head.
25th September 2008 -
Omix D'Or 2nd 14/1
Omix D'or ran a brave race at Perth, finishing second in a Class 3 chase race.
Although he was beaten a fair way, he stayed on well to snatch second in the
last few strides.
20th September 2008 -
Namir
WON 14/1
Namir has had another excellent season, and this was his third win from ten runs
so far this year. He came late and fast at Newmarket to lead on the line
and provide shareholders with yet more prizemoney.
6th September 2008 -
Shakespeare's Son 2nd 9/2
With a quick reappearance here, 'Ollie' came with a late run to take second,
but was no match for the winner. However, he remains in super form and we
are hoping for another win from him before the season is finished.
2nd September 2008 - Shakespeare's Son
WON
11/4
It was only right that 'Ollie' got his head in front today after a series of
great efforts. He took this up over a furlong out and held on to record
his first win of his career. He may well race again soon.
6th August 2008 -
Namir 8/1 2nd
Namir ran another great race for shareholders today at Pontefract, only just
being caught in the final stride. There must surely be a third win for the
season in line for 'Norman'.
17th July 2008 -
Red Dawn 3rd 3/1
Another good performance from Red Dawn, but he found
the ground against him today at Cartmel but was only beaten 8 lengths into
third.
4th July 2008 -
Shakespeare's Son 2nd 7/1
'Ollie' deserves a break - he led approaching the line
today, only to be caught in the last stride and only being beaten by a
short-head. He must surely find a race in the next few months - and beat
16 horses home today.
23rd
July 2008 -
Shakespeare's Son 2nd 10/1
A great run from the gelding - he had to come right
over from a poor draw and was leading with ten strides to go, only to be caught
in the last few yards. He has the ability to win a similar race.
2nd
July 2008 -
Red Dawn 2nd 13/2
Red looked like the winner of this race, and pulled
out plenty in the last few furlongs. However, one was just a little too
good for him in the run to the line, but he was nicely clear of the rest of the
field, and his turn must surely come fairly soon.
9th June 2008 -
Namir WON 10/1
Another scintillating run from the six-year-old. Duran Fentiman
rode a really great race on the six-year-old, conjuring a win in the last stride
to record his second win of the season for shareholders.
8th June 2008 - Councellor 3rd 100/30
Another good performance by Councellor at Brighton -
finishing third in this competitive Class 4 handicap, only beaten a length and a
half. he remains in great form.
2nd
June 2008 - Shakespeare's Son 2nd 12/1
Following up on a promising start to the
season, 'Ollie' beat 15 horses in this six furlong sprint, finishing second to a
well handicapped horse. There will surely be more to come from this
gelding.
26th
May 2008 - Omix D'Or 3rd 7/1
Omix D'or came agonisingly close to his first
success for us today, leading right up to the last twenty yards of this
Beginners Chase, but being caught in the last strides and finishing a battling
third.
22nd May 2008 - Councellor WON 9/2
A great performance by Councellor saw the gelding winning this Class 4
contest and earning £5,000 in doing so. He held off a sustained challenge
by the favourite to notch his first win of the season.
21st May 2008 -
Red Dawn 3rd 16/1
Red Dawn ran a really valiant race here at Sedgefield, and only went down by
ten lengths after being cut up at the second last by horses slightly in front of
him. There looks to be a race in him this summer.
13th May 2008 -
Councellor 3rd 9/2
Councellor continues his consistent run of form with a third at Southwell on the
fibresand, only going down by less than a length in third.
7th May 2008 -
Namir WON 7/1
A great run from the six-year-old. He
travelled really well in behind horses and was produced by Duran Fentiman
beautifully over a furlong out, where he ran on, winning by half a length.
6th
May 2008 - Shakespeare's Son 3rd 16/1
A good start to this three-year-olds season
with a battling third over six furlongs at Chepstow.
1st
May 2008 - Omix D'Or 4th 12/1
After a couple of declarations as a non runner
due to the ground, Omix showed he was worth the wait by following up his second
at 50/1 with a very decent run against good quality opposition in this Novice
Hurdle to finish fourth of sixteen runners.
1st
May 2008 - Petrus de Sormain 2nd 12/1
But for an extra twenty yards, this gelding
would have been winning today, staying on well at the end of this hurdle race to
get within a length of the winner. He's improving with every race at the
moment and his first win can't be too far away now.
20th April 2008 - Omix D'Or 2nd 50/1
A hugely encouraging run from Omix D'Or on his
racecourse debut in the UK. He was beaten a long way here, but he himself
was clear of a very decent field of handicap hurdlers and there is definitely
more to come from this gelding.
10th
April 2008 - Siena Star 2nd 9/2
Siena Star only found one too good for him
today at Kempton, and despite being beaten a few lengths he held on well for
second and is still in cracking form.
9th April 2008 - Namir 2nd 12/1
Namir signalled there was wins to be had with
him today with a very strong run to finish second in this Class Four handicap.
the front two were well clear of the field and he will be back out again soon
chasing a win.
2nd April 2008 - Siena Star WON 9/2
He's in great shape at the moment, and Siena Star
held on bravely up the straight at Lingfield to record his fifth success at the
track. He runs for fun, and will no doubt be back in the prizemoney again
pretty soon.
1st April 2008 - Petrus de Sormain 3rd 40/1
Its taken a while to teach this gelding the basics of jump racing, but on his
third outing he ran a cracker for shareholders, looming large two out in this
Novice Hurdle and only went down by a couple of lengths when squeezed for room
at the last. We are looking forward to another run from this decent prospect in
the next fortnight.
19th March 2008 -
Desert Light WON 6/1
Desert Light hasn't had much luck in running in recent
weeks, but tonight at Kempton the gelding had a great draw and Tolley Dean
guided him to a good one length victory.
18th
February 2008 - Siena Star 2nd 7/2
Siena Star was caught yards from the line here, after
having 'bossed' this race from a long way out. He is in cracking form at
present and will no doubt be picking up more prizemoney soon.
14th
February 2008 - Grand Palace 3rd 9/2
Grand Palace, the model of consistency these days,
finished third here after falling out of the stalls and losing a few lengths.
However, another good run and there could be more wins to come from him in the
next few months, despite his higher handicap mark.
13th
February 2008 - Siena Star 3rd 10/1
Siena Star was leading as the field approached the final furlong, but was
caught by a couple with a turn of pace. However, a great opening run to
the new year with this grand old veteran.
12th February 2008 -
Red Dawn 2nd
16/1
Red Dawn provided shareholders with a heart-stopping run at Newcastle.
having led from over four out the gelding was in the lead jumping the last, but
tired near the line and was caught. However, a great run and the promise
of plenty more to come from him.
7th February 2008 -
Dancing Duo
3rd 20/1
Dancing Duo showed plenty of guts to fight her way back into this mile furlong
race and closed well at the end of the race to finish third by a rapidly
diminishing margin.
31st January 2008 -
Grand Palace WON 7/1
Grand Palace was having his first ever run over five
furlongs today and managed to repel all challengers to land a sweet victory for
shareholders. He has now won over 5, 6 and 7 furlongs and on three
different All-Weather surfaces.
30th January 2008 -
Farington Lodge 4th 18/1
Farington Lodge ran 2m 5f in this chase at Newcastle,
and whilst the distance was a bit sharp for him he stayed on resolutely to take
a share of the prizemoney. With 16 runners, he managed to fill the places
and will be back out over a longer distance next time.
29th January 2008 -
Dancing Duo 3rd 14/1
Dancing Duo's first try on the fibresand over a
shorter distance showed her using her stamina at the end of the race - racing
through late on to take third. She will hopefully build on this in the
coming weeks.
7th January 2008 - Grand Palace 2nd 9/2
Grand Palace was up in class today, running in this
0-75 rated handicap. He led throughout, until the final furlong where he
was headed, but holding off the rest of field by three lengths. There
looks to be more to come from him.
