Notable Runs:
19th December 2007 - Grand Palace WON 11/4
Back to Lingfield, and Grand Palace won this well,
holding off the entire field to win by a comfortable half a length.
19th December 2007 - Councellor 3rd 17/2
A career best effort from Councellor - finishing third
in this Listed Conditions race worth over £28,000 in added prizemoney. He
led until just over half a furlong out in this mile race and was only beaten two
lengths in the end. A brave and classy performance from a very decent
horse.
11th December 2007 - Grand Palace 2nd 9/2
On the opening day of Southwell after the floods Grand
Palace looked like the winner over a furlong out, but in the very 'deep'
conditions he couldn't quite get the the winner but was a valiant runner up.
4th December 2007 - Grand Palace 3rd 9/4
This race didn't quite pan out for Grand Palace, with
the gaps just not opening when he needed them. However he ran on
resolutely and only lost by half a length.
30th November 2007 - Councellor WON 5/1
A scintillating run from the five-year-old, virtually
making all at Wolverhampton over seven furlongs and defying a six pounds penalty
in the process. He now has three wins from four runs and a 100% strike
rate for Ownaracehorse!
26th November 2007 - Councellor WON 12/1
A new recruit to Ownaracehorse, Councellor delighted
us on his first run by winning a valuable Class 4 handicap at Lingfield by a
length. He was always on the pace and drew clear in the last furlong to
cause something of an upset in this race.
24th November 2007 - Grand Palace WON 2/1
Justly deserved, Grand Palace took this race over six
furlongs at Lingfield by the scruff of the neck and won by and easy
three-quarters of a length.
20th November 2007 - Grand Palace 2nd 10/1
Another decent run from Grand Palace saw him finish
second at Wolverhampton. He remains in decent form and his second win of the
year cannot be too far away.
11th November 2007 - Farington Lodge 2nd 25/1
After a couple of falls at Newcastle, Farington Lodge
was switched to Wetherby and ran on well to nick second place in a decent
contest over three and a half miles.
30th October 2007 -
Grand Palace 2nd 7/1
A great run from Grand Palace, ahead of his All-Weather campaign. He
got into a prominent position and looked the winner over one out, however he
finished second and we hope to go one better with him very soon.
14th October 2007 -
Siena Star 2nd 17/2
A return to bath for Siena Star, and he almost made it another win, closing
rapidly in the final furlong, but just didn't quite get to the winner.
However, there is bound to be more fun to come from him this year.
10th October 2007 -
Roman Boy 3rd 7/1
Roman Boy came from way off the pace to lay down a challenge in the last strides
of this 1m race, but the post came too soon.
3rd October 2007 -
Dancing Duo 3rd 33/1
Another two strides and Dancing Duo could have given us a very big win.
She finished like a train today over seven furlongs and her first win of the
season cannot be far away.
30th September 2007 - Sarah's Art WON 20/1
Sarah's Art, one of our newest additions to the site, ran in a seven furlong
handicap at Kempton and from a terrible draw managed to fight his way into the
reckoning and ended up winning going away.
30th July 2007 -
Farington Lodge WON 5/2
'Quest' finally came good for shareholders after a
sequence of placed efforts by winning well at Uttoxeter. He was prominent
throughout, took up the running a circuit out and pulled away in the closing
stages to win by five lengths. Happy shareholders at the course enjoyed the free
champagne afterwards!
20th July 2007 - Namir 2nd 20/1
Namir's first run at Pontefract this season resulted
in a great performance, coming in a Class Three handicap worth over £18,000.
He had the worst of the draw, but made relentless progress to close on the
winner in the final furlong, only going down by a fast reducing three-quarters
of a length at the line. He now goes to Glorious Goodwood, aiming for
glory in the Stewards Cup.
18th July 2007 - Farington Lodge 2nd 8/1
Affectionately known as 'Quest' by his shareholders,
Farington Lodge ran a heart-stopping race at Uttoxeter. Being over 20 lengths
down at one point to use every ounce of stamina and toughness to battle back and
only go down by 3 lengths at the line. A great performance and this chaser
deserves to find a race soon.
9th July 2007 - Planet Paradise 3rd 22/1
Planet Paradise was dropped in class by trainer Derek
Shaw, and provided shareholders with their first winnings from the filly this
year. She ran on well to take third in the final furlong of this 5f sprint and
we expect the improvement to continue.
12th June 2007 - Namir 2nd 6/1
Namir went back to Sandown for a grade three sprint
and finished second, running on strongly in the last furlong to only go down by
a length and a half, whilst being two lengths clear of the third horse.
10th June 2007 - Siena Star WON 12/1
Stef Liddiard had Siena Star spot on for his first run
back after a short break and Siena, under a superb ride from Hugh Bowman,
cruised up to take up the running a furlong out and went on to win by a cosy
looking length and a half. For a nine-year-old he's a spritely as they
come and we're expecting more from this thoroughly game and fun to own gelding.
2nd June 2007 - Farington Lodge 3rd 12/1
The evergreen Farington Lodge gets into the prizemoney
again, this time at Hexham. He led this 3m 1f Chase race from the start
and lasted until the final fence before finding the winner had a better turn of
foot - but only went down battling by five lengths. He will be back out
again before the weather bakes the ground too firm.
26th May 2007 - Namir WON 5/1
Namir strikes again! After getting no luck in running earlier in the week in a
Class 5 race, Namir stepped up to Class 4 company to record his second success
of the month. With an inspired bit of riding from Duran Fentiman, the gelding
found a classy turn of foot over a furlong out to take a length out of a good
quality field and land the £10,000 added prize. Shareholders are now
looking forward to a very interesting summer with this gelding!
21st May 2007 -
Dancing Duo 2nd 28/1
Dancing Duo, returning to seven furlongs proved she is no back number with a
super run which saw her leading over a furlong out and just getting caught in
the dying strides, but still finishing a very respectable runner up. She
will now stick to six or seven furlongs and looks like a horse waiting to win.
13th May 2007 -
Star Of Raven 3rd 10/1
Star Of Raven put in a brave performance today, under another great ride from
Tom Messenger. She was over ten lengths down on the run to the third last,
but drew alongside the eventual winner at the last and looked as if she was
going to make it. However, a poor jump at the last robbed her of her
momentum and she finished a gallant third.
12th May 2007 -
Namir WON 10/1
Namir, under a brilliant ride by Tom Queally, won one of the featured races
on Channel Four racing this Saturday. He broke from his stall and made all
to score by two lengths on only his second race of the year - providing his
shareholders with over £2,500 in prizemoney. There is surely more to come
from this versatile sprinter.
9th May 2007 -
Farington Lodge 3rd 10/1
Farington Lodge was unlucky today to not get closer to his rivals. Held up
at the back of the field and hitting three out, he ran on stoutly to take third
and provide shareholders with another £800 worth of prizemoney. His luck
must change soon and produce a win.
25th April 2007 -
Misaine 3rd 25/1
We really didn't expect too much from Misaine today, on his opening run of
the season, but he didn't disappoint, with a sparkling early turn of foot to get
prominent from a bad draw and lead the field into the final furlong over five at
Kempton. He got a little tired in the last furlong, but battle on for
third place at rewarding odds. A very promising run!
23rd April 2007 -
Panama At Once WON 25/1
What a cracking performance by 'At Once' today! This was the gelding's
first time over chase fences, and on firmish ground and he absolutely loved it.
Leading for most of the race, Panama At Once stretched away from the field over
three fences from home and won by a huge 28 lengths. He will now go for
another chase, seeking similar conditions.
23rd April 2007 -
Star Of Raven 2nd 11/1
Star Of Raven ran a really great race here today at Hexham, leading for all
of the second circuit and was two lengths clear jumping the last fence. Up
the run-in she just faltered slightly and was pipped in the shadow of the
winning post to go down by a neck. However, a battling performance
and she must get a win soon.
1st April 2007 - Mind Alert 3rd 9/2
Poor old Mind Alert keeps running cracking races, but once again was caught
in the dying strides to finish third, beaten a length.
1st April 2007 - Farington Lodge 3rd 9/1
Farington Lodge led at the last at Hexham in this 3m Chase, but got caught
in the final fifty yards and was beaten only three lengths into third.
However, this was a super run, giving the winner over a stone in weight.
There is more to come from this grand chaser.
27th March 2007 -
Mind Alert 3rd 15/2
Mind Alert once again ran a tremendous race, coming through with what looked
like a winning run up the inside rail at Lingfield, only to be swamped by two
other runners in the shadow of the post. He went down by only two short heads,
and he deserves a change of luck.
21st March 2007 -
Mind Alert 2nd 11/2
With only three runners in March so far,
Mind Alert looked as if he would make it win number four for this season,
but once again this gelding found one too good. He got touched off by the
shortest of short heads, having taken up the running with only forty yards left
to run in this six furlong contest. He will be back out again soon,
looking for compensation.
16th February 2007 -
Grand Palace 2nd 9/2
Grand Palace returned to the course and distance he won over previously (7f at
Wolverhampton), and was leading and in command with one furlong to run, but just
ran out of stamina approaching the line and was caught by a fast finisher.
However, another strong performance.
9th February 2007 -
Mustammer WON 14/1
After a few disappointing efforts, Mustammer came good
for shareholders today with an easy win over the six furlongs at Wolverhampton.
He laid up behind horses and came with a wet sail in the final furlong to win
going away. He will be back out again next week.
5th February 2007 -
Siena Star WON 25/1
What a grand veteran Siena Star is - recording his
second win from his last five runs. Here at Lingfield he was given a peach
of a ride by Mickey Fenton to take the running up over a furlong out and beat
off his pursuers.
31st January 2007 -
Roman Boy 3rd 7/2
Roman Boy ran another solid race today and was simply
tapped for a little bit of toe in the last furlong - but a hugely encouraging
performance on a course which we didn't think would suit him.
27th January 2007 -
Grand Palace WON 9/2
Grand Palace recorded our first win of the year today with a facile victory
at Wolverhampton over seven furlongs. He patently loves the Polytrack and
seven furlongs looks to be his precise distance - he won this easily by three
lengths and was going away from his opposition at the finish. A great run.
25rd January 2007 -
Mind Alert 3rd 9/4
Mind Alert, back to the same course and distance which saw him successful
last year and second only two days before once again put in a consistent
performance, but the effort from the race two days before may well have taken
its toll here, as he finished a one-paced third.
25th January 2007 -
Roman Boy
2nd 10/1
Roman Boy was pitched in again an odds on favourite, Picador, and was well
beaten, but he was a full two lengths clear of the third and they in turn were
three lengths clear of the rest of the field. Another progressive
performance from the eight-year-old, and he will go again fairly soon.
23rd January 2007 -
Mind Alert 2nd 6/1
Mind Alert ran another solid race here, and only just got touched off in the
final run to the line in this six furlong contest. He could run again in two
days time.
19th January 2007 -
Grand Palace 3rd 9/4
Grand Palace was sent off favourite for this mile race at Wolverhampton, but
after hitting the front over two furlongs out he was unable to live with the
pace of the front two, but finished a creditable third.
14th January 2007 -
Roman Boy
2nd 10/1
Roman Boy have improved with every run so far this season, and this was
another improvement - seeing him finish second in a 0-65 rated handicap at
Kempton. He was a full two lengths clear of the field of 14 runners, and
we are hoping he will go one better next time out!
9th January 2007 -
Mind Alert 2nd 7/2
Mind Alert almost got the year off to a cracking start
when he went close in a six furlong handicap at Southwell. He looked like
the winner over a furlong out, but was run down by what could prove to be a well
handicapped horse.
