Seven Syndicates for this winter with flat, hurdles and chasing action - take your pick!
    DATE POSTED: 28/07/2017
We have managed to finalise our Winter 2018 team of horses today, with the final few syndicates slotting into place for what looks to be one of our strongest teams of horses for the colder months...

We have been working hard, and spending some hard cash in order to bring you a great team of horses for this winter!  We believe we have a horse for just about everyone, wherever you are based and whichever type of racing you prefer to follow through the winter months. Here's our winter team for the 2017-2018 season:

Little Jimmy (Handicap Chaser)

Little Jimmy has been a standing dish around the Midlands and Southern chasing courses for the last five years and even though he is a ten-year-old, he is more than capable of winning races - and he's back again to race in veteran races, and will head for the Military Cup races at Sandown once again.

Jimmy's Sister (un-raced hurdler)

As you can probably guess, this is Little Jimmy's sister!  Half sister actually - but she is a lovely filly and we can't wait to see what she is made of.  A chaser in the making, she will race over hurdles in National Hunt Novice races this winter. She's in the box next to her brother at Tommy Gretton's!

Nicely Indeed (classy handicap hurdler)

Nicely Indeed won twice as a youngster, and ran very creditably in Class 4 handicaps last winter even though he had the ground against him and his stable at that point in time suffered various outbreaks of coughing.  Now with Philip Kirby, he is rated 119 over hurdles and will be racing in quality races throughout the North.  We went to 32,000 to retain him at the sales.  As well as our small shares, we have three 10% shares leases available in him at only 269 per month starting in September - call or email for details.

Snow Rescue (handicap hurdler & novice chaser)

With a season which was marred by hold-ups and poor ground, this gelding did his best, but it didn't work out for him.  However, he has had a proper rest this summer, returns to Tommy Gretton and is under our full control in terms of race planning.  He will head for chase fences for the first time this winter and is a stronger, more robust individual.

Northern Girl (handicap hurdler)

Philip Kirby trains this lovely looking filly in the North and she showed good potential last season when racing as a 4YO in Bumper (National Hunt Flat races).  She will now head over hurdles and be contesting Novice races for the first part of the season, and then go to handicaps.  She is a real trier, and her syndicate has a great bunch of people involved.

Callaghan (All-Weather handicaps)

Callaghan will be having a full winter of racing on the All-Weather surface at Wolverhampton, Kempton and Lingfield.  Based in the Midlands, he is best over middle-distances, and seems to prefer the Polytack surface to turf.  He is nicely handicapped and we're hoping to see this nice horse get his head in front.

Roaring Rory (All-Weather sprinting)

What can we say about Roaring Rory that hasn't already been widely publicised about this diminutive gelding?  He's a real star - has won two races this season already, and loves the all-weather circuits.  He is a proven five furlong sprinter and has won and been placed at Wolverhampton and Newcastle - where he will race most frequently this winter.
