Two unraced 2YO's added to the winter team.

Ownaracehorse are delighted to announce the addition of two new racehorses for the 2011-2012 winter All-Weather season...

Getting ready for the winter All-Weather season may be the last thing on the minds of many people in racing, but for Derek Shaw, this is the main event, and this is why we delighted to have secured two new horses for the winter season with the Leicestershire based trainer.

Derek has a tremendous record on the All-Weather surface and has numerically been amongst the top trainers on the sand for several years.  He gears his entire yard around racing on the artificial surfaces and his record speaks for itself with a high percentage win rate.

We will be going into the winter with three horses with Derek - a proven handicapper, plus two exciting 2YO's, both of which will start racing in October and will race right through the winter until spring 2012.

With any untried horse, the expectation of what they will achieve is the subject of huge anticipation from the shareholders, and the current news from the yard is that both our 2YO's are going well on the gallops.  We expect to see them racing at Southwell, Wolverhampton, Kempton and Lingfield through the 2011-12 All-Weather season.

Dancing Ellie May has a winning pedigree and has been bred to go on the All-Weather.  She has all the attributes of her winning Mother, and at present looks like a five or six furlong prospect.

Meanwhile, our unnamed filly by Trade Fair is already galloping every day and she is a lovely long type with a good stride who appears to be built for middle distances in time.  we expect her to be the first one to appear - perhaps as early as September.

Both horses provide shareholders with a realistic shot at the dream - of owning a horse which will be a winner - and each of them are less than 100 for the season.  We are also expecting to host a yard visit to Derek's stables in September or October so that shareholders may get to know their horse prior to hitting the racecourses in Autumn.
