Philip Kirby continues sparkling form with winners on both the flat and over jumps.
    DATE POSTED: 29/06/2011
Amazing King won at Musselburgh on Monday evening to maintain what has been a tremendous few months for trainer Philip Kirby.

Galileo Figaro turns out again on Sunday afternoon at Market Rasen in the Ownaracehorse colours and runs out of Philip Kirby's Castleton yard.  In the past few months Philip has been making regular trips to the winners enclosure, under both codes.

Although possibly better known as a handler of hurdlers and chasers a look at Philip's record on the flat in 2011 makes impressive reading.  Three winners from just 22 runners on the level which followed up a decent strike rate achieved in 2010.

Over the obstacles Philip has made a great start to the 2011-12 season and May saw him register five winners from just twelve runners.  Although June has been quiet by comparison he has had only a few runners but Amazing King's victory at Musselburgh flagged up the stable's well being and it will be no surprise to see more winners in the coming weeks.

It would be great if Galileo Figaro could land the spoils on Sunday and add to Philip's impressive strike rate.  It would also be the first of what we hope will be many winners he trains for Ownaracehorse
