Kyle James looking forward to partnering Galileo Figaro once again this Sunday at Market Rasen.
    DATE POSTED: 28/06/2011
This Sunday Galileo Figaro will most probably return to the scene of his latest run, at Market Rasen just over a week ago.

On his opening race of his summer season, Galileo Figaro was travelling nicely in front when he made an uncharacteristic error at the second hurdle and reached for the fence too early, unshipping his young pilot.

However, that wasn't the end of the gelding's race - far from it!  The seven-year-old then picked himself up and jumped right around the circuit, all eight fences, and pulled himself into contention as the field swung into the home straight.

He then jumped the last two fences with aplomb, took a one length lead and could be visibly seen to put his head down and quicken when the eventual 'winner' came to his quarters.  After going past the post in the lead, Galileo Figaro then ran straight into the arms of his stable lad - no worse for his mishap at the second fence and thoroughly pleased with himself!

Kyle James will hopefully get the chance to make that fall a forgotten memory this Sunday as the two of them look set to contest a Novice Handicap Hurdle over the same course and distance.  Kyle described the mistake as a 'complete one-off' - so we are expecting to see a much improved performance from Galileo Figaro this time around.
