Start to the summer season sees Cool Reception, Brunello, Stormy Morning and Lucky Surprise ready to go...
    DATE POSTED: 28/03/2014
The start to the flat season is only a few days away now, and Ownaracehorse shareholders are gearing themselves up for a busy start to the season as not only have we got horses starting their flat campaigns, but our Spring yard visits to our trainers are booked in...

The summer season for all of our flat and summer jumping horses are about to get under way as we reach the end of March.  With the flat season kicking off on Saturday at Doncaster, we are expecting a busy period for our horses through April as many of our syndicate horses get their first feel of the turf.

First out we expect Cool Reception, our 3YO filly to be racing at Redcar in the first week of the month.  She had a spin around Wolverhampton a few weeks ago, but ran green and hated the kickback - but the grass is her surface and we are hoping to race her in a 7f Maiden as soon as the flat gets underway.

Then we have Brunello - a lovely big dual purpose horse with Philip Kirby, who will be entered for a few hurdles race through April - he is a

decent sort over sticks and we've been waiting for the ground to get better for him before sending him back out.

Then down in the South we are really looking forward to Lucky Surprise (shares sold out for 2014) getting her first entry for the flat in April.  She is a promising young filly who should do very well in the hands of Jeremy Gask.  She will be searching for a race in mid-month over six furlongs in a handicap.

Then we have Stormy Morning - who we really can't wait for - as he will be going onto the turf once again in the North.  This lovely individual has won for his shareholders every single year we have owned him and based on his performances on the All-Weather so far this year we shouldn't have to wait too long for him to find another winning opening!

We are giving away over 1000 worth of shares in Stormy Morning.  He is trained in North Yorkshire by up-and-coming young trainer Philip Kirby and all you need to do is take a guess at the combined starting prices of the first five home in the Grand National.  You could not wish for a more consistent and fun racehorse to be a part of - so why not enter this free competition?
