Heavy ground won't effect Throwing Roses, but Ripon needs to pass inspection for us to see her opening run.
    DATE POSTED: 27/04/2012
Ownaracehorse will hopefully see its first 2YO of the season race on Saturday at Ripon.  Throwing Roses is set to be the first of our youngsters to start her career on a racecourse, as long as Ripon passes an inspection...

We all have our fingers crossed that Ripon's officials will give their meeting on Saturday afternoon the thumbs up following an inspection there late Friday morning.

The course has had 25mm of rain in the last 24 hours, but we remain hopeful that their drainage system will be able to cope with the deluge and by 2-00pm tomorrow afternoon we will see our first 2YO of the season come out and run her race.
Throwing Roses was always going to be an 'early' type - and so it has proved.

She is now ready to race, having completed all her stalls and gallop work, and what's more, we believe the soft ground will be to her liking.

Ollie Pears trains this daughter of Clodovil and she is described as being 'as tough as old boots!' by her handler.

We will learn out fate later on Friday, but even if she can't race tomorrow due to abandonment, the filly will get further entries for the week after.  As Ollie states "She's ready to race and I'll find an opening for her as soon as I can."

Lets hope that she can give us a great day out at Ripon tomorrow...
