Better weather signals the start of the runners who've all been waiting for the ground to go 'Good'
    DATE POSTED: 23/07/2012
With the weather having finally broken and the turf firming up nicely in most places, this increase in temperatures sees Ownaracehorse shareholders with three runners in the space of three days...
The middle of this week sees Ownaracehorse shareholders looking forward to three runners in three days.
Stormy Morning, Poppy's Purse and Sleeping Policeman are all set to race on consecutive days, and we're particularly looking forward to these runners, as they have all suffered at the hands of the poor ground in the last few months.

Stormy Morning gets the ball rolling on Tuesday at Musselburgh in a marathon 2m handicap where the going is currently described as 'Good'. The firmer the better for this six-year-old, and we're hoping he will be seen to better effect than on the bottomless ground he's had to put up with so far on the turf.
Poppy's Purse runs on Wednesday

Poppy's Purse found the very soft going too much to handle at Catterick last time, but on Wednesday she goes up in trip and out on Good to Firm ground at the same racecourse.  She also steps up markedly in trip, attempting seven furlongs for the first time.

Then to round off the midweek action, we have Sleeping Policeman who is racing at Uttoxeter on Thursday.  He is yet to be declared, but it is looking like he will take his chance, with the racecourse reporting 'Good' conditions underfoot.

All three horses have had excuses due to the ground in races earlier this season, so it would be no great surprise to see any of them running better races than previous form this season suggests.

Shares in all three still available for a short time...
