Prickles is waiting for the rain to stop.
    DATE POSTED: 20/04/2012
Prickles, our 6YO mare trained by Derek Shaw has been ready to go racing for a number of days now, but the current heavy rain everywhere is making the ground so heavy, we're waiting for an improvement in the weather...
Derek Shaw was delighted with the way Prickles ran at Uttoxeter last time out, finishing well to come in 3rd at 33/1 in a Class 4 contest at the Midlands course.

With the mare in such good shape at the moment, we had hoped to be going racing this week at Uttoxeter, but with the ground being so soft everywhere, Derek has had to just bide his time with the mare.

Once the weather changes, we will be on our way to the races.  This mare loves a bit of proper good ground and would struggle in the type of bottomless going which is currently prevalent.

Derek told us late last week that he's got his eye on the weather, and as soon as he can find a track with ground getting close to 'Good' we will be getting entries for Prickles.
