Lovely big mare Cherrycake set to race in first week of March
    DATE POSTED: 23/02/2011
Philip Kirby has given us the news that our new National Hunt prospect, Cherrycake, is all set to make her debut on a raceourse.

This seven-year-old mare has been busy on the show jumping circuit for the last year and a half, getting essential jumps training and growing into her not-unsubstantial frame.  She stands at over sixteen and a half hands high and her true vocation will be Novice Chasing.

She's a half sister to our other decent chaser, Panama At Once, but will start her career in hurdle races to get experience, before going on to long distance chasing.  She's an interesting prospect, and we're really looking forward to seeing how she develops in the coming months.

Shareholders have already been updated on the current state of the mare, and we'll be reporting regularly in the Racehorse Manager all the way up to her opening entry, which will see her racing in the first week of March, probably at Newcastle.

We still have shares left in this mare, and she will be exciting for any National Hunt enthusiast to follow through the year.
