Will it be fourth time lucky for Throwing Roses?
    DATE POSTED: 22/06/2012
Throwing Roses, our 2YO filly by Clodovil and trained in Malton by Ollie Pears will be having her fourth outing next Tuesday (26th June).  To date this tough filly has finished second in every race she has run in...
Having been beaten a short head on her opening run for shareholders at Ripon back in April, our 2YO filly has gone from strength to strength.  However, in every race, she's managed to bump into a horse on its way up into Listed class.
With winners having come from all her races, this filly's form looks solid, and it can't be long before she is walking into first place instead of second.

The last horse to beat her, Agent Alison, is second favourite for the Albany at Royal Ascot. Prior to that, Dream Vale ran respectably in Listed Class after beating her by a few lengths.

Now 'Zooki', as she's known in the yard, will step up in trip next Tuesday at Beverley in a seven furlong Maiden.  She's reported to be as well as ever and we'll be well represented at the racecourse by her faithful group of shareholders.

Ollie Pears says of the 2YO "She's probably the toughest, most straight-forward filly I've ever trained.  She eats everything put in front of her and always gives 100% on the racecourse. All we need now is that number one beside her name.  She certainly deserves it and is more than capable."

Throwing Roses will race at Beverley in this Maiden race and we're then looking forward to going into nursery handicaps with her.  There are a handful of shares remaining in her for the 2012 season which is far from over, as this filly could easily run another four or five times before the turf season draws to a close.
