Kenyan joins our southern team of young horses - an un-raced 'breeze-up' colt

    DATE POSTED: 22/04/2016

We have just strengthened our team of 2YO's down in Lambourn with a very well bred young horse by emerging sire Kendargent...

The recent 'Breeze-up' sales at Tattersalls has delivered another new racehorse to our syndicates in the shape of 'Kenyan' - a 2YO with a great French pedigree.

Kenyan - a Tattersalls Breezer who cost 22,000 guineas.

Kenyan is already at Seamus Durack's Lambourn yard, and following a short time of settling in, will be getting ready to race later this summer.  The plans for him over the next six months are to get him ready for when the seven furlong 2YO races start.  He is a long, scopey sort, and has the type of pedigree which means he will need the longer trips.

In fact, Seamus has an 18 month plan for this young horse - he will start on the flat in Maidens and Novice races over seven furlongs and a mile, and may run all the way up to Christmas - going onto the All-Weather if necessary.  Then after a winter break he could have a dual purpose 3YO season where he runs on the flat and also goes juvenile hurdling.

We have constructed a special share period with guarantees for shareholders - so that if he turns out to be rather special, you are guaranteed a share in him as a 3YO if you want to continue your ownership beyond 2016.
