Little Jimmy set to take a step up in class at Haydock on Saturday.

Little Jimmy has already won four races for his shareholders over the last 18 months, and now the handicap chaser will head to Haydock on very heavy ground this Saturday.

Little Jimmy recorded a memorable win at Uttoxeter last time out on new Year's Eve, and the nine-year-old will now attempt to make it four wins from his last five runs at Haydock this Saturday, at the Peter Marsh meeting.

The gelding has been exceptionally well trained by Tommy Gretton, who has placed him to win on seven occasions in the past.

Little Jimmy - runs at Haydock on Heavy ground on Saturday.

Jimmy will face six rivals at 3-50pm at Haydock, on ground which is approaching the wettest ever recorded, without a meeting being abandoned (3.3 on the going stick!).  Jimmy loves heavy ground, so that won't be a problem - but he runs on Saturday from his highest ever handicap mark.

Jimmy is not short of supporters either - he will have over 30 shareholders there to cheer him on as he attempts to win once again.  They will get to see Felix de Giles ride the gelding once again, following his well timed run last time out to win by three lengths.  Felix is actually returning from France just to ride his favourite racehorse!

Shares are long gone in this smashing chaser, who sold out before December.  And we are hopeful he could race at least another 3-4 times before the end of the winter season as well.

The best of luck to everyone with Ownership shares in the horse, and most importantly, we look forward to 'Jimmy' coming back home safely.
