|Antoella a very interesting dual purpose horse for the winter|
|DATE POSTED: 20/10/2011|
Antoella is one of those horses which
continues to challenge the perceptions of those involved with her.
After being written off after her early flat career, this enigmatic
filly proved to be a revelation when she went jumping...
We're delighted to be syndicating Antoella, a 4YO filly who has proved that patience and time spent educating a racehorse can pay real dividends.
Trainer Philip Kirby took on this filly when she didn't really have much to shout about, having run down the field a few times on the flat. However, after spending a few months with the North Yorkshire based trainer this good looking grey filly went out and ran a good race in a Bumper, and followed that up with another decent run over hurdles and then a win over hurdles.
She is now all set to start her 2012 winter season, having had a break through the summer as she needs the soft ground to let herself down and put in 100%.
Philip said "She's the sort of filly which has constantly taken herself up a notch each time she has raced. She could have quite easily won two or more for me last year, but for a couple of poor jumps, but we've schooled her through the summer and I think she will be quite a force over hurdles this winter."
He added "Whilst we're waiting for the races, we're going to take her back to the flat, as I have the feeling that she is rated way too low and we could just squeeze a win into her despite the fact that she is really a jumping prospect."
Antoella will start her campaign next week, with a run at Catterick or Musselburgh on the flat in midweek - before heading over the birch again a matter of days later. What compelled us to syndicate this filly is that there is plenty still to come from her. When conditions are in her favour she has a very good attitude, and finds plenty more when asked.
Shares are still available at only £88.00 - and buy soon to ensure you are in her right from the start. What's more, we have a yard visit to Philips yard in a fortnight, which will give you the opportunity to meet Antoella, along with Philip, his staff plus the other 25 horses he has in his care at the moment.
