|An informative and in-depth visit to Jeremy Gask's yard has group winners and potential star youngsters on show|
|DATE POSTED: 20/04/2014|
Jeremy Gask hosted
our Spring yard visit to his stables in Sutton Veny last weekend and
as well as watching horses exercise on the gallops, Ownaracehorse
shareholders got to see their own horses working and a Group One
star strut his stuff...
Jeremy Gask has over 50 horses in training at his yard in Sutton Veny, just South of Bath, and over the Easter weekend he threw open his doors to our shareholders.
On a day which was cool but clear, the Ownaracehorse shareholders, numbering over 140 in total were treated to a busy morning of racehorse information and insight. Jeremy and his team took shareholders up the gallops to watch his stable star Medicean Man go through some easy work - as well as recent winners Precision Five and Nelson's Quay.
Then we were off back to the yard and Jeremy's state-of-the-art training treadmill, where we watched Ownaracehorse horse Lucky Surprise (sold out) do two lots of treadmill training. Then that was followed by a group of shareholders in Arc Lighter having Jeremy talk them through this promising five-year-olds season - standing at over 17 hands he is a monster of a horse!
Finally Shareholders enjoyed a free cup of coffee and a biscuit whilst they watched Medicean man being paraded (see photo above) - the eight-year-old is due to fly off to Japan very soon to contest a hugely valuable sprint on the other side of the world.
In total, shareholders were with Jeremy for over three hours - and had the opportunity to tour around the yard as they wished for the last hour or so. It proved to be one of our most memorable yard visits and as one shareholder commented "What I paid for the share was worth it just for the experience of meeting Jeremy and his team and learning all about the yard ahead of the flat season!"
