|Cool Reception now has the start to her racing career in her sights as Ollie Pears announces target race|
|DATE POSTED: 20/01/2014|
Cool Reception had to
sit out the summer of 2013 due to a chip in her knee, but now this
good looking 3YO is all ready to race and trainer Ollie pears has a
race at Wolverhampton in mind for her...
Our well bred filly Cool Reception is going about her work in quite, confident style according to trainer Ollie Pears.
The Malton based handler has had Cool Reception at his stables for over a year now, but it will not be long before she heads out to the racecourse to complete her first circuit of the track for her shareholders.
Street Power at Lingfield
This three-year-old has yet to race yet, but that was because of a common problem with youngsters - a chip in her knee. However, the filly is now over all that, and Ollie Pears has now identified a race for her in February. In fact, he has a few races outlined, so shareholders may get to see her race early in the month as well as in the middle of February as well!
The target race for her comes at Wolverhampton on 17th of February and is a Maiden over six furlongs which is restricted to fillies only. It should provide a good starting point for 'Winnie' (her stable name at Ollie's yard).
This filly comes from a family where eight out of the nine offspring from the mare have won races - and almost all of them did their winning as 3YO's! Cool Reception will start at six furlongs, but may develop into a seven furlong horse or even a miler. Her work at home is certainly smooth, and we are really looking forward to seeing her race in Maidens over the next few months before going onto the turf.
She is currently racing for her 2YO syndicate, but will start a new share period in April, as soon as the turf racing starts. Shares in her are selling well - with less than a dozen shares left of the first 20% of her we have syndicated.
