'The Kid' set to race at the big Musselburgh meeting on Saturday

    DATE POSTED: 18/04/2011

Our trainer based in Scotland, George Foster, contacted us today to let shareholders know that Bahamian Kid is expected to race at Musselburgh's race meeting on Saturday.

The meeting on Saturday 23rd April is the track's 'Gold Cup' day, which includes a big five furlong sprint, plus the 'Gold Cup' race itself, a mile and six furlong handicap which has attracted 32 entries and is part of an eight race card which promises to be a highlight of Saturdays racing coverage.

Bahamian Kid had his pipe-opening run a fortnight ago and George has described the gelding's current wellbeing as 'In great form with himself'.  He will be heading for a 0-65 rated handicap over a mile, and will relish the expected 'Good to Firm' ground.

Without giving too much away, George has suggested that the six-year-old is allowed to adopt different tactics to his usual race-plan, so shareholders will be looking out for a different set of instructions being handed to expected jockey for the afternoon, Lee Newman.

Bahamian Kid's race has 28 entered at present and off his current handicap mark of 59 he should have no problem getting a run, with only three horses required to drop out at the 48 hour declaration stage.

Its not too late to become involved in Bahamian Kid - and potentially be entering the parade ring at Musselburgh on their Gold Cup day, we still have a few shares left for his 2011 season, which will start in earnest this Saturday.
