Winter jumpers start their seasons in the next fortnight
    DATE POSTED: 17/10/2016
As the turf season starts to draw to a close, its now the chance for the hardened jumpers to come to the fore, as our winter team start to eye up opportunities...

We don't have long to wait in order to see the best of our winter horses making their comeback runs, as the National Hunt Season returns very soon.

Little Jimmy (Brian Hughes in the saddle) being led in by trainer Tommy Gretton to a resounding reception.

Little Jimmy
could be the first of the team to see a racetrack, as the gelding is reported to be working well and already has a trio of racing targets early in November.  Twice a winner last year, Little Jimmy will start over hurdles before heading over chase fences once again when the soft ground starts to dominate after Christmas.

Not far behind with be our new chaser Astigos, who we are really excited about.  This 120 rated chaser who has already won over 150,000 in prizemoney is set to start his winter season in the second week of November.  He is another who has impressed on the gallops recently and this ex-Henrietta Knight inmate looks to have been an excellent buy at the sales, costing only 10,000.

Northern Girl - our unraced youngster with Philip Kirby up at Catterick received a huge boost to her pedigree this weekend when her half brother was only beaten three-quarters of a length in the USA Grand National!  It a bit different to ours (being over hurdles and only 2m 5f), but it was worth $350,000.  Our filly is going nicely at Phil's new yard and shareholders will be visiting her on November12th to see her work for themselves.

There are still shares available in all three horses, but we are selling out quickly!
