Faye Belle all set to start her racing career in April
    DATE: 18/04/2013
With only a dozen or so two-year-old races having been run so far this season, our Lucky Story filly Faye Belle, trained by Derek Shaw, has already got her opening entry, and looks set to race within days...

When we bought Faye Belle from the Doncaster sales back in September, we believed she would be a sharp type of 2YO, and so it has proved, as Derek Shaw has already entered this youngster for her first race next week.

Faye Belle - ready to run

Nicely bred, and with a decent half sister who ran in Dubai this winter (rated 78), Faye Belle is likely to start her racing career at either Windsor on Monday or Beverley next Thursday.  Both races are 2YO only maidens and will be over the minimum trip of five furlongs.

Derek Shaw has about 15 2YO's at his yard this season, and 'Belle' is expected to be amongst the first to race.  The filly is reported to be making good progress on the gallops at home, and we're hoping that she will be competitive right from the start of her career.

There are still some shares left in this filly for her 2013 campaign, and we will be holding our spring visit to Derek's yard this coming Sunday, just ahead of the filly racing the week after.
