|Weather may play its part as we expect a busy period of racing on the run up to Christmas and through to the New Year|
expectation of frost and snow over the coming days, our plans for
racing may be subject to last minute hiccups, but it looks like
Ownaracehorse will have a number of runners both up to the Christmas
break and then through the Christmas week.
Both All-Weather and jumps horses are expected to be racing over the next fortnight for Ownaracehorse shareholders, so we're hoping that the weather allows all the meetings to go ahead as planned.
Today sees Classy Lass taking to the polytrack at Wolverhampton in their opening race of the day - and of course the weather won't play a part on this surface, although shareholders may have to put up with some pretty cold conditions.
Over the weekend we have Crumble and Antoella racing at Newcastle and Carlisle - with both meetings expected to go ahead, but with inspections planned because of the sub-zero temperatures which may just freeze the courses.
Then into next week we are expecting entries for Stormy Morning and Dancing Ellie Mae.
Stormy Morning is due to start his share period on January 1st, but we are all set to bring that forward to include his Christmas runs if he manages to get to the track. He ran a very promising race last time out at Sedgefield and he could be a really good prospect for next year.
Dancing Ellie Mae is more likely to be out between Christmas and New Year - and this likeable filly will be having her first ever run in public on the All-Weather under the watchful eye of her trainer Derek Shaw.
So, plenty to look forward to over the festive period!
