|Newcastle may see two of our racehorses on the same card|
Ollie Pears has our two handicappers,
Amical Risks and Bachelor Knight in great shape at present, and the
Malton based handler is hoping to send the two geldings to Newcastle
for their night meeting next Wednesday, 20th April.
Currently the racecourse is reporting the ground to be good to firm, which isn't ideal for either racehorse, but with the weather looking to remain dry and no rain forecast, its likely the course will water. It would suit our two that there is as much cut as possible at the course.
Amical Risks ran a very decent opening race on the flat at Doncaster's Lincoln meeting a fortnight ago, and Bachelor Knight ran a similarly promising race on the All-Weather last time out, when only going down by two lengths at Wolverhampton.
This will be the second time in a matter of weeks that we've had two horses running at the same meeting at Newcastle. Last time it was two jumpers, and Ownaracehorse managed to book a Private Box for the day at Gosforth Park for its shareholders.
With a bit more precipitation, we could see both horses going to Newcastle on Wednesday, and fingers and thumbs are being crossed to ensure the two geldings get the rain needed to take their chances.
