|2YO's go well at home and its time for Faye Belle to head off to Derek Shaw's yard in Leicester|
|DATE POSTED: 15/02/2013|
Our two 2YO's for
2013 did an important piece of work yesterday at our pre-training
yard, and Faye Belle will be on her way to trainer Derek saw in
about ten days time as a result...
Faye Belle has always looked like an early type and indeed this is the way its working out. This filly has plenty of attitude, and is ideally made to be an early season 2YO, being compact and very powerful.
We watched the filly warm up and then do two gallops at about three-quarter pace up the All-Weather gallop at Gisburn, Lancashire, and following the workout, the head lass at the yard told us that apart from some final finishing touches, the filly was ready to go to her trainer for the season.

Carol Richardson, Head lass at the yard stated "She's very powerful for such a young horse and strikes me as the perfect early season horse. If she takes to her fast work like she has to her three-quarter pace workouts, then she could be a really early runner for your syndicate."
Faye Belle has a half sister who is currently racing in Meydan and is rated 80+.
Meanwhile, Cool Reception also worked yesterday, and whilst she isn't quite as sharp at Faye Belle, this filly is a lovely long-striding sort who will be going to her trainer Ollie Pears in about a month or so. She is from a family where all of the eight offspring from the mare have won races. Watching her perform yesterday, we have every hope that she will be the nineth!
