|Ownaracehorse strengthens the team with three new All-Weather horses for the winter|
|DATE POSTED: 14/06/2011|
All-Weather season has always been a popular and lucrative time for
Ownaracehorse shareholders, and 2011-12 will see a three new
racehorses run in the yellow and blue colours...
The All-Weather season, run from November through to April every year, has always been a happy hunting ground for Ownaracehorse horses and trainers, and for this season we have a set of new racehorses for shareholders to consider.
And this winter will see a welcome return for Derek Shaw to the Ownaracehorse training list. Derek has trained many winners for us in the past, and we're delighted to have horses in his yard once again. Read more here.
Macie is a lightly raced filly who will head to the sand surfaces over the course of the winter. She has needed time to mature, but is now developing into a nice prospect. She's set to run over the sprint distances, and form followers should take a look at her latest effort at Wolverhampton, where her finishing position belies the performance she actually put in after being very slowly away. She will be an interesting horse to follow this winter.
Shaw's Diamond has been rated in the 80's until recently, but is now very nicely handicapped to make a splash on the sand. He is a big, robust type who is sure to race frequently through the All-Weather campaign and is sure to make his mark in races from seven furlongs and up.
Finally, we have Fleetwoodsands. He's won three times at Wolverhampton - and been placed a further six times - and that's from only thirteen career performances! Ollie Pears trains this very versatile gelding who has won over six, seven and nine furlongs. We're delighted to have picked this horse up, rated 69, and he will be racing in decent contests through the winter campaign. He's trained by one of the most exciting young trainers in the North, and will provide plenty of fun to his shareholders.
