|Sarah's Art due out soon to start his assault on sprint handicaps through the summer|
|DATE POSTED: 12/05/2011|
With the hard ground everywhere through
April, its taken longer than expected for Sarah's Art to race on the
turf following success over the winter on the All-Weather.
However, the rain has come to a few pockets of the UK and trainer
Stef Higgins was hopeful that she could take our talented grey out for
a race this weekend.
Sarah's Art has won every season for us since he joined us in 2007 and recorded an incredible five wins in 2009 and two last season. His greatest success came when winning the 'Grey's Race' at Newmarket, a £20,000 added handicap for grey horses only.
Stef is really looking forward to getting this gelding back to the track, as he is raring to go after his enforced layoff during April. He held two entries for this weekend, one at Newmarket and the other at Doncaster but unfortunately a severe lack of professional jockeys (they all miss his race to get up to Doncaster for the night meeting), along with ground which was less than ideal, combined to put off his return until Windsor on May 16th.
Stef confirmed at the start of the year that she would be giving 'Jenson' as he's known in the yard, another busy season - but we will be heading once again to Newmarket to attempt to repeat his win in the 'Grey's Race' in August. Unfortunately the ground went to 'Heavy' last year and we had to withdraw him on the day of the race. Hopefully this season will see slightly less inclement weather in the middle of summer!
Look out for more entries for 'Jenson' in the next 4-5 days - click on the entries on our Home Page to view the entries. A limited number of shares are available for his 2011 season.
