Rowan Lodge gets the opening race at Beverley for their 2012 season named after him.
    DATE POSTED: 11/04/2012
Rowan Lodge, our ten-year-old handicapper with Ollie Pears will go to the races next week at Beverley to contest a race which the track have named after him...

Next Wednesday Rowan Lodge, the latest addition to our flat team for 2012, will go to Beverley races to contest a ten furlong handicap which will be called the 'Rowan Lodge Selling Stakes'.

The reason for this?

Well, this gelding has run in this race every year for the last four years.  He has won the race three times and been second once, and in recognition for this achievement, we have just learnt that the racecourse executive have decided to name the race after him.
Rowan Lodge will be competing in this race once again - so attempting to win the race with his own name on it!

He will be entered for his race later this week and he will be in the line-up when it comes to the start of Beverley's 2012 season next Wednesday, the 18th of April.

The race is a selling race, but having won it three times in the past and never having been sold, we are confident that should he win for the fourth time, its very unlikely to attract new connections.

You can be a part of this gelding with some very special shares - only twenty-five 1% shares are available - and at a very special price of only 219.  This covers all his racing during the 2012 flat season.

Trained by Ollie Pears in Malton, this statuesque and striking chesnut will be a great horse to follow for any racing enthusiast based in Yorkshire or Cumbria, as we expect him to race almost exclusively at Beverley and Carlisle.

We now have only 11 shares available - so be quick if you want to cheer him on next Wednesday!
