First yard visit to Philip Kirby in the heart of the Yorkshire Moors

    DATE POSTED: 11/04/2011

This weekend sees our first ever yard visit to Philip Kirby's yard based in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors.

Philip is only in his third season as a full time trainer, but has achieved plenty of success. He has an enviable strike rate of over 10% and has a truly mixed yard with everything from young 2YO's through to veteran chasers in the yard.  He will have a sizeable contingent of flat horses for the summer, as well as plenty of jumpers.

We placed two horses with him for 2011 and they are currently both racing - Panama At Once and Cherrycake.

As well as meeting our horses, Philip will be taking shareholders through his other racehorses in training, and if its anything like our popular visit to Ollie Pears' yard two weeks ago, he will be highlighting some horses to follow that will go on to win races this season.  Philip has also suggested that shareholders may like to see some of his younger horses doing some schooling over fences.

To be part of the visit, you need to own a racehorse with Philip.  Cherrycake is sold out, but there are still a few shares left in our super veteran chaser Panama At Once. If you are already a shareholder, then simply register for the visit in your online Racehorse Manager and full details for the visit and arrangements will be available to you.

We don't sell shares at our visits and we don't expect shareholders to pay for anything, so we provide free refreshments - our visits are about getting to know your trainer, his horses and most importantly your own racehorse - because that's what ownership is all about.
