|February could be a bumper month for Ownaracehorse runners|
|DATE POSTED: 10/02/2012|
shareholders have already seen three runners in early February, but
despite the cold weather this level of activity appears to be set to
Both Philip Kirby and Derek Shaw are ready to set sail with all guns blazing in the next three weeks, as we see a spell of concerted racing from our racehorses currently in full training.
Jumpers Antoella and Stormy Morning are expected to be getting entries over hurdles in the next week, and between then could get up to five entries. Both horses are dual purpose, so we are expecting a mixture of both flat and jumps races being targetted as Phillip attempts to beat the weather.
With a very promising run coming from Antoella last time out, she actually runs today at Southwell and is in good order. This filly may also go back to Southwell next Wednesday for a 0-95 rated hurdle which would allow her to build on her run there last time out where she led until two out.
Meanwhile, down in Leicestershire, Derek Shaw has entries for Shaws Diamond, Classy Lass and also our un-raced filly Dancing Ellie Mae in mind. All three of these horses are expected to race in the next two weeks.
Derek is keen to get Dancing Ellie Mae back to a racecourse quite quickly to build on her debut run and the other two are waiting for Kempton's extra cards to kick in as they are being targeted at specific polytrack races.
There are still shares left in Stormy Morning, who will have a dual purpose season of hurdling and flat racing running all the way through to November.
