|Lola finishes third at Lingfield by a short margin|
|DATE POSTED: 09/12/2012|
Only a head and a
neck separated Chateau Lola from victory at Lingfield this
afternoon. Our flying filly was having her second run of the
week after a pipe-opener on Monday and made it into the winners
enclosure at 25/1...
Chateau Lola is a lovely big and powerful filly, and has run twice this week. She needed the run on Monday at Wolverhampton, being slowly away and facing some horrendous kickback, but today at Lingfield it was a different story.
The filly was away with the field this time and from her stall one draw, managed to be in the first couple all the way through this five furlong sprint. She led turning into the home straight and was only run out of a win in the dying strides of the race.
The rank outsider, she was returned at 25/1, allowing shareholders to collect on her each-way finish.
Chateau Lola (shares still available) rounds the bottom of Derek's gallop at Sproxton.
Based on this run, we expect to see the filly back at Lingfield again sometime during the next few weeks, and trainer Derek Shaw has already reported that he wants to take her racing again before Christmas.
If you are looking for a little bit of racing fun through the winter, then a small share in 'Lola' could fit the bill. She is a robust filly and will improve further for her latest Lingfield run.
