Miss Starry Eyed coming along nicely as she prepares to join Derek Shaw at the end of the month.

    DATE POSTED: 09/03/2012

One of our young hopes for the new flat season, Miss Starry Eyed, continues to make good progress at our pre-training yard.  The filly is all set to complete her ground work in the next two weeks before joining Derek Shaw in Leicestershire at the end of the month...

Miss Starry Eyed will be the last of our three 2YO's to join her trainer for the 2012 turf campaign.  With the other two safely bedded in at Ollie Pears' yard in Malton, that leaves Miss Starry Eyed to complete her prep work at our pre-training yard.

Progress has been rapid in the last few weeks as the filly has suddenly shot up in height and put on plenty of muscle. Whilst at the pre-training yard in Lancashire the filly has been introduced to every element required to make her a racehorse, apart from serious fast work, which will be completed when in the care of her professional trainer.

Like any youngster, she is green and learning every day, but we're delighted with the progress from this full sister to three-times 2YO winner pint size, as she learns quickly and has an excellent attitude.

Currently Miss Starry Eyed is in the capable hands of stable lass Ashley, who is putting the filly through her paces six days a week, both in the indoor school and out on the All-Weather gallop.  Ashley has been with this filly right from the start - even looking after her straight after she came out of the sales ring at Doncaster Bloodstock sales!

We expect this filly to be a real 2YO type, as she is sprint bred and is developing just as you would expect from a sprinter. All being well, she should be racing in May.

Don't forget that you can be a part of this 2YO for a one-off payment of 175!  Click on the link below to view the in-depth profile.
