|2013 season 2YO's making good progress as build up to the turf season intensifies|
|DATE POSTED: 09/01/2013|
Following the success
of our 2YO's in 2012, we are happy to report that both of our
youngsters for 2013 are coming along really well and we are
expecting both of them to be joining their trainers in the coming
In the depths of winter is when all the hard work is actually done with the new 2YO's for the forthcoming season, and Ownaracehorse is pleased to report that both our 2YO's are coming along nicely!
Cool Reception, an excellently bred filly by Royal Applause with winners strewn all over his pedigree has been showing plenty of get-up-and-go in recent days. Her stable-mate, Faye Belle, who has a 3YO half sister rated in the nineties is also going up the All-Weather gallops at the pre-training yard very well.
The two youngsters will be spending another few weeks at the pre-training yard in Gisburn, Lancashire, before heading off to their respective trainers. Cool Reception will go East to Ollie Pears yard in Malton, and Faye Belle will head South, destined for the Derek Shaw stables based close to Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire.

Two-year-olds are perhaps the most exciting of racing propositions - as you really don't know what they will be like until that first few runs! This year we have managed to secure two horses which should not only be decent at 2YO, but will improve with age, so that we should enjoy racing right through the turf season.
Both horses have sprinting in their blood, but with the possibility that they will 'get' further over time - which should make for an interesting and exciting year. However, for now, we're simply happy that they are both in good order and breezing up the gallops at Gisburn very nicely indeed.
