|Village Green about to start his 2013 season on the All-Weather|
|DATE POSTED: 09/01/2013|
With the festive
period now well behind us, the focus for most of our trainers is the
preparation of horses for the coming flat season. However,
trainer Ollie Pears already has Village Green ready to go...
Our newest racehorse, Village Green, is all set to start his 2013 season with a run on the All-Weather in about ten days time.
The four-year-old gelding is one of the most unexposed horses we have bought recently, with only two runs under his belt despite his age. However, this son of Green Desert has needed the time to come to himself, and we can't wait to see how he gets on.
Trainer Ollie Pears has a race at Wolverhampton on the Polytrack surface mapped out for the gelding, who has been reported to be going well up the Malton gallops recently. Shareholders in the gelding will be getting an early chance to see this gelding in action, and we are expecting he will improve a good deal on his last run, which was marred by a bang the gelding got in the stalls and which meant he lost all chance.
Ollie Pears told us yesterday "He went well at home the other day, and I'm looking forward to taking him racing again. He's still a big baby in terms of racing, but he just keeps improving at home, so we should have an interesting season with him."
Village Green - expected to run on Friday 18th at Wolverhampton
Village Green will get an entry over seven furlongs on Friday 18th, and will probably be racing a few more times on the All-Weather to gain experience, before Ollie turns his attention to the turf through the summer.
Village Green is available at a great price for the season, being a late addition to our 2013 team - shares start at only £89.00 and of course that is a one-off price which covers the entire season!
