|Juvenile jumper 'Crumble' available now for the winter season|
|DATE POSTED: 06/06/2011|
If its some
jumps racing fun you are looking for through the winter, then look
no further than 'Crumble' - a five-year-old mare who will be going
hurdling and chasing. And she's available at a really cracking
Trainer Philip Kirby was so delighted with the way our mare Crumble ran on her debut at Carlisle earlier this week that we have now made her available for a full winter campaign.
The five-year-old mare is by a five time winning mare - who did all that winning over chase fences, and by one of the top National Hunt sires, Karinga Bay. However, this mare is set to make her mark over hurdles in the next few months, after which she will embark on a chasing career.
She ran at Carlisle on Monday, and whilst on paper an eighth position doesn't look too amazing, it was the manner in which this mare raced which prompted Philip Kirby to set plans in motion for her jumps campaign. She's bred to be a jumper - and has schooled impeccably over both hurdles and chase fences, but most telling, she is bred to stay two and a half to three miles, and perhaps further.
Whilst racing very green at the rear of the pack throughout, Crumble was staying on resolutely up the hill at the end of the Carlisle race, and jockey Kyle James commented "We could have gone around again, she was staying on nicely and had plenty left to give - she needs a step up in trip and some fences put in front of her!"
Philip Kirby said "She's a really nice mare, and just keeps on improving. This race will bring her on tons and we'll go hurdling with her next. She could make up into a really nice sort this season."
Crumble is available at a discounted price for her 2011-12 winter season - check out her profile and race plans in detail below.
