Welcome back Stormy! Our big favourite returns this Friday at Wolverhampton

Ownaracehorse has some very popular horses available for syndication, but you would be hard pushed to find any horse which has the sort of following Stormy Morning has...

Stormy Morning was having a great year in 2012 when he encountered a setback which almost stopped his career. Whilst out working up the gallop his trainer Philip Kirby noticed that he was just ever so slightly lame and so led him back home.  This action proved to be what made the difference between the horse being saved!

So, after an operation to put him right and nine months of recovery, this gelding is expected to race again at Wolverhampton on Friday afternoon.

Stormy wins at Musselburgh

This gelding has won three times for his shareholders and been placed many more - he always does his best and is a real trier!  On Friday he will start his 2014 season with a spin around Wolverhampton over one and three-quarter miles - his first run for over 300 days.

And of course he will have his shareholders there to see him run - he's such a popular horse he even gets birthday cards and regular packages of carrots arriving through the post!

The fact that this lovely big gelding is back at all is credit to his trainer Philip Kirby and the staff at the Sharp Hill stables - and from the way the gelding has been going up the gallops recently, he will be as good as ever once he's had a run or two!

Stormy Morning is due to run in the 5-10pm race at Wolverhampton on Friday 10th January. Declarations are due in on Wednesday.
