|Three new racehorses for the 2012 season|
|DATE POSTED: 06/11/2011|
We have been
busy during September and October sourcing new trainers (see posting
on Jeremy Gask) and also new racehorses. As a result, we have
been able to add three new racehorses to the website, with more on
Three brand new racehorses to Ownaracehorse have been added in the last few days, which added to the four new horses we added in September, brings our tally to seven in just over six weeks.
The new horses are a Misu Bond yearling filly which is ear-marked for our new trainer Jeremy Gask, another yearling, this time by top first season sire Clodovil is set to go to Ollie Pears, and finally a novice hurdler called Stormy Morning has just been added and is already in training with Philip Kirby.
We're delighted with all three horses for different reasons, but all of them look like potentially very decent horses. The Misu Bond is a full sister to Pint Sized, a three times winner in his 2YO season - which is enough of a recommendation, but she also looks sharp and has a wonderful nature. She will be racing in the South, under the experienced eye of Jeremy Gask.
Our Clodovil yearling has two-year-old winning relatives right through her mother and second dams pedigree, and when you consider that her sire Clodivil has had a 52% winning strike rate with his first season 2YO's, she is another which should make 2012 a memorable year.
Stormy Morning is the latest horse to be added - already a winner on the flat, he has entered training with our Northern Jumping yard under the control of Philip Kirby. We have high hopes for this son of Nayef, as he is robust and consistent on the flat in handicap company, but he will also go hurdling this winter and is the sort to love the soft and heavy ground he is sure to encounter.
Look out for more news on additions to our southern string being posted in the coming days.
