Studio Star will star for his shareholders at York in the Rous Stakes on Friday 13th June

It's always a pleasure to have a runner at a Grade One track - but so far this season we have already sent shareholders to Goodwood, Kempton and now we are off for a day out at York...

You really don't know where a racehorse will take you when you start the season.  We all have dreams of going to Ascot or Newmarket for the big racedays, but you could just as easily be heading off to Yarmouth or Southwell.

However, some lucky shareholders with Ownaracehorse will be enjoying the high life at York next week, as our promising young Colt Studio Star takes to the turf on York's Knavesmire.

Studio Star at home with Jacob Butterfield

Studio Star finished third at Beverley on his only run to date, racing behind a couple of horses who are held in quite high regard.  He finished placed at 25/1 that day on his debut, and we don't think he will be that price next Friday when he travels to York for the 'Rous Stakes'.

This is one of the top selling races of the season for 2YO's and it usually takes a good one to win it.  The winner walks away with 12,000 prizemoney.  Trainer Ollie Pears picked this out even before the Colt ran well at Beverley and we believe he should go to the Grade 1 track with a chance.

A son of the first season sire Showcasing, his shareholders are anticipating a great day out and perhaps even a bit of a shout when 'Studio' hits the final furlong pole.  This is what Ownaracehorse is all about - taking small shareholders who have believed in a horse to some great tracks and enjoying a great day out, win or lose.  With us, it's all about the experience.

Studio Star will be entered for the York race this weekend, and we expect Jacob Butterfield to be riding the colt for us again, as he did at Beverley.

On the day before (Thursday 12th) we also have one of our popular 'Drop-in' days at Ollie Pears yard - Studio Star's trainer in Malton.  We have a very limited number of spaces open to non-shareholders, so if you would like to come along on Thursday morning, drop us an email via our Contact Us page and we will sort everything out for you.

We also still have a few shares left in 'Studio' priced at only 99.00
