|Boxing Day on the menu for Stormy Morning|
|DATE POSTED: 05/12/2012|
remains in great form at present. His latest run at Market
Rasen provided a third-placed effort. Now his trainer Philip
Kirby is all set to take the gelding racing again, this time over
the Christmas period...
Stormy Morning has been plenty of fun already this share period, having been second on the flat and third over hurdles. He was last seen out over hurdles at Market Rasen and finished a very decent third on ground which was perhaps just a little too soft for his liking.
Now Philip Kirby, his trainer, is contemplating a couple of runs over the festive period. The first target is just before Christmas, but then there are options at Wetherby, Sedgefield and also back at Market Rasen on Boxing Day.
Stormy Morning at the races.
Philip says of the gelding "He owes us nothing - he goes out there and always puts in a race, and rarely gets beaten too far unless he's ridden the wrong way. But we've found the key to him now, and he's in the form of his life at the moment."
He's a wonderful, robust gelding and we have just dropped his price for the remainder of his winter season - yet he will still race between 4-8 times in the next five months! You couldn't choose a nicer, more entertaining gelding for racing fun through the colder months of the year...
