|Cool Reception, Burns Night and Lucky Surprise set to race next week - and a yard visit to Ollie Pears as well!|
|DATE POSTED: 05/06/2014|
It's almost a runner
every day of the week for Ownaracehorse next week. With all
our horses now actively racing, we have plenty going on...
You could never say that we rest on our laurels at Ownaracehorse! The next ten days could see as many as six of our horses race - both on the flat and over jumps. As well as horses running up and down the country, we are also running one of our very popular drop-in days at our 2YO trainers stables in Malton.
Cool Reception at home with Jacob Butterfield
Only one of our horses in training has not already run this season - Arc Lighter - but he will be out soon enough... However, the next ten days see a whole plethora of shareholder horses take to the green stuff.
Brunello paves the way for a busy time of it by starting the next wave of runs tomorrow at Market Rasen, running in a 2m 5f handicap hurdle. we are hoping that the ground will dry up for this lovely big lad, and he will find his groove in what looks like a decent opportunity for him. He has a following of absolutely dedicated shareholders, so even late on Friday afternoon, over 15 of them will be there at this country racecourse to watch him take his chance in a nine-runner race.
Into next week, we have a line of potential runners, all with chances. First we have Cool Reception, our unexposed 3YO, who will gain more experience at Beverley on Wednesday afternoon. If you haven't been there before, try it, because this East Yorkshire racecourse really is a lovely place to be when the weather is half decent - and especially as an owner!
Then we move on to either Nottingham or Chepstow, as Lucky Surprise takes her second step onto a racecourse this season. She ran an encouraging race first time out at Goodwood - and gave her shareholders a lovely day out - and will be stepping up in trip. Expect to see her finishing much closer this time around...
Then later in the week we are really looking forward to our nice Colt Studio Star, who will be racing at York on Friday 13th. He will head for the Rous Stakes and we are really looking forward to that day out, as we are trying to get as many shareholders there as possible to shout the 2YO on.
However, before 'Studio' struts his stuff, we also have Burns Night going over hurdles at Uttoxeter. He really needs some decent ground - so we are praying for the sun to come out and dry all the Midlands up in the middle of the week. He should run on Thursday evening and usually goes quite well first time up after a break.
On the same day we also have one of our popular 'Drop-in' days at Ollie pears yard. We have a very limited number of spaces open to non-shareholders, so if you would like to come along on Thursday morning, drop us an email via our Contact Us page and we will sort everything out for you.
All in all, it will be a busy week...
