Throwing Roses looks to go one better at Catterick next Tuesday

    DATE POSTED: 04/05/2012

The Ollie Pears trained Throwing Roses is full of energy back at home following her big run first time out at Ripon last weekend, and now this robust filly will head to Catterick to go one better...

Throwing Roses was only beaten a short-head at Ripon last weekend - and in the last stride as well, but now she is heading to Catterick on Tuesday evening to attempt to go one better.

This ultra-game filly was only caught in the last stride at Ripon last Saturday, and is expected to run on Tuesday in a very similar type of contest.

Back over five furlongs, we're hoping for a small field and a decent draw so the filly can grab the rail like she did last time, and make her way home under James Sullivan.

Throwing Roses - due to run again on Tuesday.

James partnered 'Zooki' on her opening run, and is already booked to ride her again on Tuesday.  The race itself allows our filly to gain a weight advantage from the other runners in the field as well, so she is all set up to have everything in her favour.

With only 13 entries at the 6 day stage, we're hoping the race will cut up further, especially if the rains come again early next week.  Our filly loves the mud, and the more rain the better for her.

There are still a few shares left in this filly - but they are selling very quickly.
